To recognize and reward the volunteer efforts of employees throughout the company who take an active role in their local communities, the Foundation offers the "Employee Community Involvement Fund." Employees who volunteer at least eight hours per month may request a $200 donation for the organization from the Dreyer's Foundation. At year-end, each employee and organization will be highlighted in a Foundation report.
Criteria for donations in this category:
- The employee is to be involved at least eight hours per month in some capacity with the nonprofit and must have volunteered for one year before submitting a request.
- The organization must be a registered 501 (c) (3) nonprofit.
- The organization may not support a political cause or candidate or be a sectarian religious organization not open to the public.
- Requests are accepted through November 1 of each year for a donation within that calendar year.
Requests in this category must come from the employee, not from the nonprofit organization. Employees can make requests here.
