DREYER'S GRAND ICE CREAM PRODUCTS NOT INVOLVED IN ONGOING PEANUT-RELATED SALMONELLA INVESTIGATION
Dreyer's Products Containing Peanuts Are Safe To Eat(Oakland, California – February 5, 2009) -- Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream reiterated today that none of its products containing peanut butter, peanuts or peanut-based ingredients is involved in the federal government's ongoing Salmonella investigation. This includes all of the company's branded products including its Dreyer's, Edy's®, Haagen-Dazs®, Nestlé®, Frosty Paws®, Eskimo Pie®, Fruit Bars and The Skinny Cow® brands. It also includes products Dreyer's makes for foodservice and ice cream parlors.
In light of the expanding list of recalled products and consumer confusion over which products are involved, Dreyer's would like to reassure consumers that none of its brands or flavors is impacted and all are safe to eat.
Neither Dreyer's nor any of its suppliers purchase ingredients for Dreyer's from the Peanut Corporation of America, which is linked to this Salmonella investigation.
Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream Holdings, Inc., and its subsidiaries manufacture and distribute a full spectrum of ice cream and frozen dessert products. Brands of frozen dessert products currently manufactured or distributed by Dreyer's in the United States include Grand, Slow Churned®, Dibs®, Häagen-Dazs®, Nestlé® Drumstick®, Nestlé Crunch®, Nestlé® Butterfinger®, Nestlé® Toll House®, Nestlé® Carnation®, Nestlé® Push-Up®, Frosty Paws®, Eskimo Pie®, Fruit Bars and The Skinny Cow®.
